About Acid Rain Radio

Posted by christianhorner on November 19, 2007

Streaming the best music on the planet to the planet for those who want to listen.

Joe Garbus and I have been friends for over 31 years. Someday I will post how Acid Rain came about.

Send an e-mail to me at christian@acidrainradio.com and let me know what you think? Or I have added some new ways of sending me notes.  Just click on the icon on the right under Christian Online that says I am online and send me an IM.  Or if I am not online just send me an SMS by typing in a message under Send Christian an SMS to send me a TXT message to my mobile phone.  Just a few ways of communicating with me!  Thanks….

This site and radio station was inspired by my good friend Joe Garbus who turned me on to Internet Radio. Joe told me about Delicious Agony Progressive Rock Radio located at http://www.deliciousagony.com . I also have my other favorites located on the side bar.  Especially my friends at MOROW.COM located at http://www.morow.com.  I downloaded a copy of Winamp (see below) and it took me “forever” to get around to listen, but after I did I went a bit further and built out two radio broadcasting servers based on IceCast, MPD/MPC. Acid Rain Radio went on the “air” or “ether” on Saturday November 19th, 2007. Here are the URLs for streams at this point:

Acid Rain Radio streams – Just click on your favorite genre link on the right panel to listen in your favorite mp3 player on your machine and enjoy  —->>>>

You are going to need a good media player. I suggest you download Winamp from http://www.winamp.com/ it is a great player. Or if you are a Linux junkie like me you already know your favorite media player!

Just copy and paste the above URLs depending on your genre taste at that moment in time and enjoy. I will strive to keep the content fresh and who knows where this will lead.

Enjoy,

Christian
